Advantages of a Mobile Veterinary Clinic
A mobile veterinary clinic has many benefits for your and your pets!
1. It’s Less Stressful
There is no need to load up your pet in the car and drive them to the clinic. Yes, for some dogs this is the best part of their day, but for many (and the majority of cats) this is the worst part of their day. By the time they reach the veterinary clinic, they are already stressed or angry. Our clinic comes to you, so your pet can stay in their own environment. No need for stressful travel.
2. The Waiting Room is in Your House
No need to sit for hours in a room with many pets or a small space with 3 kids and 2 Labradors! You can be in the comfort of your own home while waiting on us to get there, or while we are running tests.
3. It’s Convenient
You can feed the kids, vacuum the house, or watch TV in the comfort of your own home while we come to you. Fit your veterinary appointment into your schedule.
4. We Can Observe Your Pet’s Behavior
Examining pets in their own environment allows us to see your pet’s normal behavior, normal temperature and heart rate, and normal habits. Is your cat urinating outside the litterbox? This is often behavioral. Let us look at the placement of the boxes, where your cat likes to rest, eat, and where they are urinating. Sometimes some small changes can make a big difference!
5. We Deliver Personalized Care
Dr. Frederick will be your veterinarian at every visit. No jumping from doctor to doctor. We know your pet and your family, and will make the best wellness and treatment plan to fit you and your pet.
6. It’s Helpful if You Have Mobility Issues
If either you or your pet has mobility issues, no worries! We come to you!
7. It’s Easier if You Have Multiple Pets
Want to put both dogs and 3 cats in the car all at once and drive to the clinic? It’s so much easier for us to come to you! Let the dogs play in the yard while we look at the cats.
8. No Exposure to Sick or Contagious Pets (or Humans!)
At home, you don’t have to worry about the coughing dog (or human) sitting across the room.
9. More Accurate Test Results
Anxiety can throw off the results of basic tests such as heart rate, respiratory rate, blood pressure, and some lab results like blood sugar. Less stress in a home environment can lead to more accurate test results.
10. Euthanasia is Less Stressful
End of life care can be less stressful and more meaningful at home or in your pet’s favorite place.
